Under WHV condition 8547, the standard limit is 6 months. However, exemptions exist (e.g., working at different locations for the same employer; work in critical sectors; certain industries in Northern Australia). We’ll help you plan a compliant pathway or request permission where needed.
A second/third WHV may be possible if you complete specified work in approved industries/areas (e.g., plant & animal cultivation in regional Australia; construction/mining in eligible postcodes; tourism & hospitality in Northern/remote areas; disaster recovery). UK passport holders applying on/after 1 July 2024 do not need to meet the specified work requirement for 2nd/3rd WHV. We’ll explain options.
*** If you’re from another eligible country, check the full list or ask us for tailored advice.
WHV 417 generally has no formal English or education requirement (unlike many 462 countries).
Complete the form and our team will contact you with the next steps should you qualify.
